The University of Florida's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is pleased to announce the 2008 UF Conference on Comics and Graphic Novels: "ImageSexT: Intersections of Sex, Gender, and Sexuality," which will be held in Gainesville, Florida, on March 21-22, 2008. Phoebe Gloeckner (published by Cleis Press, Fantagraphics, Frog, Ltd., and RE/Search), author of The Diary of A Teenage Girl, A Child's Life and Other Stories, and illustrator of The Good Vibrations Guide to Sex, 3rd edition, The RE/Search Guide to Bodily Fluids, Brenda Love's Encyclopedia of Unusual Sex Practices, and the RE/Search illustrated edition of J.G. All panels and keynote presentations will take place at Emerson Alumni Hall, which is located at 1938 W. University Avenue, directly across from the North End Zone of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, and diagonal from the O'Connell Center. Friday evening's welcome reception will be held at Ustler Hall.

We have a small block of rooms reserved for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings at the rate of $79 under the name 'UF Comics Conference.' Let us know if those rooms fill up, and we can potentially expand the block.
